OAMPS and client win new Lumley award
Timber company AKD Softwoods and its broker OAMPS have won Lumley’s inaugural Corporate Solutions – Property award.
The prize was presented at the 18th annual Lumley Insurance Benchmark awards in Melbourne last week.
It is awarded to the company which displays the best use of risk management at the forefront of all its processes, dangerous goods handling and storage practices.
The Victorian Department of Planning and Community Development and its insurance adviser VMIA received the Excellence in Fleet Risk Management – Commercial Motor prize.
The Heavy Motor award went to Toll Contract Logistics and its broker Aon, which Lumley says have focused on managing driver safety and controlling fleet costs, to the benefit of employees and the businesses.
Murcotts Driving Excellence GM Operations Mark Kelly spoke at the awards ceremony about a new computer-based driver education program developed with Lumley. It questions people on their driving behaviour and encourages them to rethink unsafe practices.
