NZ award winners unveiled

The winners of the New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards have been announced at a ceremony in Auckland.

Rothbury Insurance Brokers won the large broking company of the year category for the third year in a row, while first-time winner Frank Risk Management was named best small-medium broking company.

Direct general insurance company of the year was FMG, and intermediated insurance company of the year was taken out by Vero, which has won the award twice before.

Life insurance company of the year went to AMP Financial Services NZ.

The awards are run by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

Other winners were:

  • Innovation of the year: NZI
  • Service provider to the insurance industry: JB Hi-Fi
  • Professional services firm of the year: Finity Consulting
  • Youth development employer of the year: AA Insurance
  • Women’s employer of the year: AA Insurance
  • Young insurance professional of the year: Eugene Sabitov, Willis Towers Watson
  • Broking professional of the year: David Crick, Runacres & Associates
  • ANZIIF lifetime achievement award: Jim Harris
