NTI truck raffle raises $113,000
National Transport Insurance (NTI) raised $113,087 for Motor Neurone Disease research by raffling a restored 1946 Ford Jailbar at the recent Brisbane Truck Show.
Michelle Wilkie of Munruben in Queensland won “Roxanne” – a hybrid of a Jailbar and a donated Isuzu N Series, combining a retro look with all the mod cons.
NTI pledged the money to the University of Queensland’s Motor Neurone Disease (MND) program, which aims to tame the immune response in the disease.
The insurer backs MND research in support of former CEO Wayne Patterson, who died last October after a three-year battle with the illness.
NTI CEO Tony Clark has thanked the insurer’s restoration partners: Royan Truck & Trailer Repairs, Annvid Auto Upholsterers & Marine Trimmers, PPG Paints, Hy-Way Truck Accessories, Battery World, Isuzu Trucks and TEKNO.
