NTI to raffle luxury truck-motorhome for MND research
Transport and logistics insurer NTI will hold another raffle to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research.
The “Expedition Truck” is the fifth vehicle to be raffled by NTI, which has already raised $870,000 for MND research in honour of former CEO Wayne Patterson, who was diagnosed with the condition in 2015 and died three years later.
The prize is valued at $275,000 and the draw will take place in Townsville on July 10. It includes a truck that can seat seven plus an attached motorhome for five to reflect “the feeling of freedom” now all of Australia’s borders are open, NTI CEO Tony Clark said.
“We wanted to encourage that sense of possibility and adventure and the importance of spending time with family and friends,” Mr Clark said.
The "luxury on wheels” motorhome has a queen-sized bed, kitchenette, air conditioning, indoor and outdoor showers, LED lighting and TV, solar panels, water storage systems, with four electric legs for easy set up.
“The Isuzu 4x4 crew cab can be used as a working truck by day, and then on the weekends, the 3.5m motorhome simply slides on and off the back. You can even hook a boat on the back,” Mr Clark said.
