NTI stalwart named transport ‘icon’
Leading heavy motor insurer National Transport Insurance’s (NTI) National Industry Affairs Manager Owen Driscoll has been recognised for his service to the transport industry.
He was presented with the Icon of the Industry award at the National Road Transport Hall of Fame reunion in Alice Springs.
Mr Driscoll has worked hard to improve safety standards by analysing and sharing accident data and collaborating with government bodies, associations and industry leaders.
NTI CEO Tony Clark says Mr Driscoll’s commitment to the industry across four decades with the company is inspiring.
“We’re extremely proud of his work to improve Australian road safety and the way he has represented NTI in the trucking community,” he said.
Mr Driscoll says the recognition is “humbling”.
More than 8000 members of the trucking industry attended the event, which also celebrated the awards scheme’s 20th anniversary.
