NTI aims to inspire with true stories
Trucking insurance specialist National Transport Insurance (NTI) has launched a campaign to collect real-life stories of “sweat, hard work and family tradition” in its industry.
One such tale recalls a truck owned by Queensland-based Russell Transport that crashed and spilled 40 tonnes of tallow into a creek leading to the Brisbane River.
NTI Accident Assist Manager Rob Wass attended the scene and noticed the rendered animal fat needed directing towards vacuum sucker trucks.
So he hastily bought an inflatable boat. Using poles, he managed to pull the solidified tallow towards the trucks.
NTI’s GM Sales and Distribution Mike Edmonds told insuranceNEWS.com.au staff have always told stories to other staff.
“For some reason, we’ve never done it externally before. Maybe we have been too humble.
“But when we did start to share our stories, people were astounded at what we do – how we go above and beyond. People were blown away by what we think of as ordinary.
“It has been great validation for our people. When we showed it internally there was applause. Advertising campaigns don’t often get applause.”
NTI wants customers and intermediaries to get involved and share their stories. Go to truestories.nti.com.au for more details.
