Austbrokers has named Craig Fretwell as the NSW and overall national winner of this year’s Frank Earl Platinum Award.

Mr Fretwell is principal at CeeJaze Management and Consulting, trading as IAA Ku-ring-gai.

The award honours excellence in the insurance broking profession and commemorates prominent Sydney broker and Austbrokers director Frank Earl, who died two years ago. It is open to all Austbrokers members.

Mr Fretwell has also been named Insurance Advisernet Australia’s (IAA) Authorised Representative of the Year, recognising “business growth, client retention and risk management, compliance control and commitment to professional practices”.

“I’m very proud to have won two industry awards,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “It’s testament to the team and their professionalism.”

Other awards presented at the IAA national conference on Hamilton Island included New Zealand Broker of the Year, which went to Bernie Kane, a director at Meridian General Brokers.

The Chairman’s Award went to IAA director and Insurance Advisernet UK MD Fred Allsopp. Employee of the Year was IAA help desk consultant Carissa Mitchell.
