North Queensland insurance community raises $70,000
The North Queensland Insurance Charity Benefit and Trade Show, held over two days last month in Townsville, raised $70,000 for Ronald McDonald House North Australia.
The North Queensland Insurance Charity Benefit has raised more than twice that since its inception 11 years ago, supporting local charities including Queensland Cancer Foundation, Beyond Blue, White Ribbon, Walking Wounded, The Cure Starts Now, Food Relief NQ, and Ambulance Wish Queensland.
The event, held every two years, is organised by a committee of insurance professionals, including Gallagher Branch Manager Ashley McCulloch, Insurance Advisernet Townsville Broker Phil Siganto, Snap Insurance Group Director Shannon Grasso, North Queensland Insurance Brokers Account Executive Andrew Griffiths and Campbell Construction Co Broker Relationship Specialist Tina Doherty.
The event is sponsored by Underwriting Agencies of Australia (UAA), NTI, GT Insurance and Sure Insurance.
“Our most recent bi-annual Gala Event proved to be a tremendous event,” Ms Doherty said.
