The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has appointed Piranha Insurance Brokers director Heather Peirano and Marsh Chief Client Officer Mike Hutchinson to its board.

Ms Peirano replaces Peter Roberts, who is now Vero Queensland State Manager, while Mr Hutchinson replaces Marsh COO Pacific Region David Duffield.

Mr Duffield has left the board to become an industry representative on the broking Code Compliance Committee.

NIBA President Tim Wedlock says Ms Peirano and Mr Hutchison have a lot to contribute.

Ms Peirano founded Rockhampton-based Piranha Insurance Brokers with her husband Peter in 1989, specialising in motorsport insurance.

Mr Hutchinson has more than 40 years’ experience in insurance. His previous roles have included national practice leader real estate and financial institutions, GM client retention and business development director.
