NIBA to reveal more state award winners

This year’s Queensland broker and young broker of the year will be crowned at Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre on Wednesday.

The National Insurance Brokers Association will then name the winning Victoria/Tasmania duo on Friday at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, and the SA/NT winners on July 26 at Adelaide Oval.

Finalists for Queensland broker of the year, sponsored by CGU, are Clear Insurance director Jen Bettridge; North Queensland Insurance Brokers area manager Kieran Volpe; and Insurance Mentor MD Scott Stewart.

The Victoria/Tasmania finalists are National Insurance Brokers owner Abbie Wilson; Avatar Brokers state manager Alexandra Ferguson; and Aon regional manager Joshua Boyd.

For the young broker award, sponsored by Vero, the Queensland finalists are Adroit Insurance risk adviser Ellen Mills and WTW account executive Jodie Krafft. The Victoria/Tasmania finalists are Lockton client manager corporate Shweta Nimkar; RSM Group senior account manager Steven Richards; and Honan client executive Dion Owens.

The winners will compete for national honours against Matthew Bates and Chelsey Harris – the NSW/ACT and WA brokers of the year – and young brokers of the year for those states, Emily-Rose Srbinovska and Nikita Willis.

The national awards will be presented at the NIBA Convention in Adelaide in October.
