NIBA state award winners named
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has announced the winners of two prestigious awards in NSW and SA.
The NSW broker of the year is Darren Milne, of Milne Alexander in Sydney.
The other finalists were Anthony Scott from Watkins Taylor Stone, and Brendan Goddard of Macey Insurance Brokers.
Young professional broker of the year is Karl Truijens from OAMPS Insurance Brokers in Sydney.
The other finalists were Amanda Blackburn of JLT, and Karl Dineros from IC Frith.
Vero Sales Manager NSW Corinne Richardson and Zurich NSW/ACT State Manager Nick Dendrinos presented the awards at the NIBA NSW gala dinner on Saturday.
SA broker of the year is Evan Jackson of Guardian Insurance Brokers in Adelaide.
The other finalists were Stephen Fahey of PSC Wright Fahey, and Tony Atkinson of Tony Atkinson’s Insurance Services.
SA young professional broker of the year is Simon Kennedy, of Aon Risk Services in Adelaide.
Zurich General Insurance CEO Daniel Fogarty and Vero SA Sales Manager Jason Nadge presented the awards at the NIBA SA gala luncheon at the Hilton Adelaide on Friday.
The broker of the year prize is sponsored by Zurich, while the young professional award is sponsored by Vero.
National winners will be chosen from the state and territory winners and announced at NIBA’s national convention in Melbourne in October.
“The levels of professionalism and customer service consumers can expect of NIBA brokers are extremely high,” NIBA CEO Dallas Booth said.
“Our winners are not just exemplary professionals, they put their clients’ interests at the heart of all they do.”
