NIBA set to kick off convention
This is the last week to register for the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) annual convention, which starts on Saturday night in Sydney.
The convention will feature a number of innovations this year, including an industry leaders panel discussing some of the top issues facing brokers which will answer questions from brokers. NIBA has put out a call for members to submit questions for the session on Monday.
The celebrations will kick off on Saturday night with a Sydney Harbour cruise hosted by CGU, which is celebrating its 160th anniversary.
Apart from food, drinks and a live band, sports fans will be able to watch live action on large screens from rugby league, AFL and the Rugby World Cup.
The winner of the 2011 Warren Tickle Memorial Award for young professionals will be named on Sunday at the official opening of the convention. The General Insurer of the Year will also be announced.
All young professionals registered for the convention have been invited to a cocktail function to congratulate the Warren Tickle award winner and finalists on Tuesday afternoon after the close of the convention.
