NIBA seeks Young Broker award nominations

Nominations for this year’s Young Broker of the Year are being sought by the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA) until the end of the month.

The national winner of the Vero-sponsored award will be selected from five finalists across NSW/ACT, Victoria/Tasmania, SA/NT, WA and Queensland.

The finalists receive a four-week professional development program, a ticket to the NIBA Convention in October, and an opportunity to help other alumni support a local community affected by a major weather event with a Vero grant of $25,000.

The national winner receives a tailored learning experience up to $10,000, courtesy of Vero.

“Until you take part you don’t realise just how fulfilling it can be, irrespective of the outcome,” last year’s Young Broker of the Year William Thompson said. "I got pages of feedback about how (clients) valued and trusted the advice they got from me and our firm.

"I felt like a winner at many stages throughout the process.”
