The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has launched a trainee of the year award.

NIBA College will announce the winner at the association’s convention in Adelaide in September, along with the student of the year. QBE sponsors both awards.

The trainee will win expenses-paid convention attendance, $250 cash and an upgrade to complete the first stage of their diploma studies.

The student winner also receives convention attendance, plus $1000 and a place on QBE’s eQuip leadership program.

QBE sponsored the inaugural student award last year, won by Aon’s Alexandra Fox-Slater. It also sponsors monthly student prizes.

Trainees and students will be judged on their academic performance with NIBA College between July last year and this month.
