NIBA reveals more award winners

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has announced award winners in Victoria/Tasmania and WA.

Victoria/Tasmania broker of the year is Sharon Cannon, of OAMPS in Launceston.

Runners-up were Sharon Fox-Slater, of EBM Insurance Brokers in Melbourne, and Keith Roderick, of Roderick Insurance Brokers in Geelong.

The states’ young professional broker of the year is Greg Tolsen, of Willis in Melbourne. The other finalist was Ben Pruckner, of Edgewise Insurance Brokers in Melbourne.

WA broker of the year is Andrew Robinson, of Robinson Insurance Broking Services in West Perth. The runner-up was Neil Watson, of Willis in Perth.

David Clarke of OAMPS Gault Armstrong in Burswood takes the young professional broker title ahead of finalist Wayde Knight, of Knightcorp Insurance Brokers in Nedlands.

The state winners will feature in the national finals at the NIBA Convention in Melbourne in October.

The broker of the year award is sponsored by Zurich. The young professional award – named the Warren Tickle Memorial Award at national level – is sponsored by Vero.

The Victoria/Tasmania awards were announced at a NIBA Victoria cocktail function in Melbourne on Friday and presented by Vero Senior Business Development Manager Allison Babousouras and Zurich State Manager Victoria and Tasmania Chris O’Connor.

The WA awards were announced at a NIBA gala lunch at Burswood on Friday. They were presented by Vero Business Development Manager Matt Terry and Zurich State Manager WA Mike Rumac.
