The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has revealed all 10 winners of this year’s regional broking awards, who now compete for national honours. 

The two national winners will be revealed at the NIBA Convention at The Star, Gold Coast on October 8-10. 

In the running for the 2023 QBE sponsored Broker of the Year are the following five regional winners:  

• SA/NT: Thomas Insurance Brokers MD Gary Thomas 
• Queensland: SB Protect Insurance Partner Lisa Shanta 
• WA: Grace Insurance Director Frans du Plessis 
• NSW/ACT: Finsura Senior Account Manager Barry Sonter. 
• Victoria/Tasmania: Marsh Corporate & Commercial Leader Victoria Nick Hodges. 

In the running for the 2023 Vero-sponsored Young Broker of the Year award are the following regional winners:  

• SA/NT: Guardian Insurance Brokers Account Executive Adam Luppino 
• Queensland: East West Insurance Brokers Head of Business Development Taylor Burstow 
• WA: Aviso WA Insurance Brokers Account Executive Justin Purslowe 
• NSW/ACT: Network Insurance Group Account Director Joel Morrell 
• Victoria/Tasmania: Marsh Principal Corporate Olivia Hancock
