NIBA registrar steps down after 15 years
Long-serving National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Registrar Melina Sanfilippo is to leave her post at Christmas.
CEO Dallas Booth says the association is grateful for Ms Sanfilippo’s contribution.
“She has worked as a loyal servant of NIBA for well over 15 years, and provided strong support to our members and executives,” he said.
Ms Sanfilippo was based in Melbourne, but her position will now move to the head office in North Sydney.
Mr Booth says that the recently announced collaboration with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance over broker education could lead to the reorganisation of a number of roles, including the registrar position.
“We are reorganising some responsibilities, and that process is ongoing,” he said.
“We will still have a facility and process to look after members’ questions and interests but it won’t necessarily be the role that Mel had in the past.”
