The National Insurance Brokers Association has named the regional contenders for its young professional broker of the year award.

Five state/territory winners will be announced next month and in July. They will then compete for the national Warren Tickle Memorial Award, to be presented at the association’s convention in Adelaide in September.

WA finalists are still to be announced but other contenders in the Vero-sponsored award are:

• NSW/ACT: Drew Ferns, OAMPS; Adam Hines, Gibbscorp; Eric Lowenstein, Aon.
• Queensland: Adele May, Willis Australia; Jodie Kimber, North Queensland Insurance Brokers; Ben McKinnie, Aon.
• SA/NT: Alex Conlon, BJS Insurance Group; Cassandra Pearce, Insurance Advisernet Australia; Joshua Ingall, HIA Insurance Services.
• Victoria/Tasmania: Shane Brady, Sear Insurance Brokers; Susanne Jones, Marsh; Amy Dennis, Midland Insurance Brokers.
