The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has named Kevin Loader of Gallagher as the winner of its broker of the year award for the South Australia/Northern Territory region.

The winner of the young professional broker award was Jessica Dametto of Webber Insurance Group.

The awards, announced at a gala lunch on Friday, finalise the full set of state winners for NIBA’s annual broker awards.

Five winning contenders will now compete nationally for the Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Insurance Broker of the Year, sponsored by QBE, and another five for the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professional Broker of the Year, which is sponsored by Vero.

On October 14, the two national award winners will be revealed at NIBA’s national convention on the Gold Coast.

The finalists for the broker of the year are:

• Victoria/Tasmania: Avi Tatarka, Scott Winton Insurance Brokers
• NSW/ACT: Damien Coorey, CRM Brokers
• Queensland: Lisa Carter, Clear Insurance
• WA: John O’Leary, Zenith Insurance Services
• SA/NT: Kevin Loader, Gallagher.

State winners for young professional broker of the year are:

• Victoria/Tasmania: Nick Daffy, PNO Insurance
• NSW/ACT: Scott Hardiman, Bruce Chiene Insurance Brokers
• Queensland: Caitlin Carson, JLT
• WA: Jordyn Gilbert, Zenith Insurance Services
• SA/NT: Jessica Dametto, Webber Insurance Group.
