NIBA names regional award finalists
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has announced Victoria/Tasmania finalists for its annual broker and young professional broker awards.
The broker of the year contenders are:
- Megalines Insurance & Risk Advisers CEO Bunmi Ajayi (Victoria)
- Steadfast Taswide MD Nigel Clutterbuck (Tasmania)
- Arthur J Gallagher Manager Corporate Teresa Westgarth (Victoria).
The winner of the overall national award, sponsored by Zurich, will receive an overseas travel and business development experience valued at $20,000.
Last year’s winner was InterRISK Managing Partner John Mutton from Melbourne.
The regional contenders for the young professional broker award, all from Victoria, are:
- Tresidder Insurance Group Account Manager Luke Chrzanowski
- Scott Winton Insurance Brokers Sales and Marketing Manager Avi Tatarka
- Adroit Insurance Group Operations Manager Damon Edwards.
The winner of this award, sponsored by Vero, will contest the national Warren Tickle Memorial Award. The overall winner will receive a tailored personal and business development experience to the value of $10,000.
Willis Account Executive Adele May of Brisbane was last year’s winner.
The Victoria/Tasmania award winners will be announced at the NIBA Victoria Underwriting Expo at Crown Towers on May 29.
Judging for other NIBA regions will take place next month, with winners announced at a series of events in July.
The national awards will be presented at the NIBA Convention in Melbourne on September 6-8.
