Early bird registration offers for the annual National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Convention close on Friday, with the association promising this year’s event will repeat the success of the 2009 Sydney convention.

Convention Chairman Tim Wedlock says he’s “very happy with the way the early bird sales are going”.  Savings of up to $400 per registration are being offered.

“Sydney provides great opportunities for a terrific convention because of the number of professionals who are based here and the range of registration incentives we’ve made available which encourages a big turnout,” Mr Wedlock told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The convention theme – Stretch Your Thinking on the Pathway to Excellence – reflects what NIBA is trying to achieve this year, Mr Wedlock says.

“We’re all about constantly raising the bar and building higher levels of professionalism in broking,” he said. “That’s reflected in the topics and speakers we’ve chosen for this year.”

The convention will be held on 17-20 September at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Two-for-one registrations, special rates for young professionals and corporate flexi-passes are available again this year.
