NIBA has finalised the list of regional winners in its broker of the year and young professional broker awards.

Will Laundy and Lachlan Birrell were named winners for SA/NT on Friday. Five regional winners in each category now compete for the national prizes, to be revealed in October at NIBA’s national convention in Adelaide.

The overall broker of the year will attend a New York University executive course including flights and seven nights’ accommodation next year, courtesy of CGU.

The young broker will receive a tailored professional development experience valued at up to $10,000, courtesy of Vero.

Here are the 10 winners vying for national honours:

• NSW/ACT: Austbrokers Canberra account manager Emily-Rose Srbinovska  
• WA: Knightcorp Insurance Brokers commercial manager Nikita Willis    
• Queensland: WTW account executive Jodie Krafft
• Victoria/Tasmania: RSM Group senior account manager Steven Richards  
• SA/NT: Aon client manager Lachlan Birrell
