National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) regional award ceremonies start this week, with NSW/ACT winners to be announced on Wednesday.

Regional winners for the Broker of the Year and Young Professional Broker of the Year awards will be named each Wednesday during September at 1pm in live virtual award ceremonies.

Queensland’s announcement is scheduled for next week, followed by SA/NT on September16, Victoria/Tasmania on September 23 and WA on September 30.

The winners will then contend for national honours, with recipients of the top awards to be named during the NIBA Virtual Convention, to be held online from October 26-30.

NSW/ACT finalists for Broker of the Year are Mary-Catherine Thomas from Aon and Connie Yang from Austbrokers ABS Strata.

Contenders for the Young Professional Broker of the Year award are Sam Hunter from Ausure Insurance Broking Services, David Harry from Aon and Emily-Rose Srbinovska from Austbrokers Canberra.
