NIBA begins search for new CEO
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) will begin the search for a new CEO this week following the resignation on Friday of Noel Pettersen.
Mr Pettersen, who has served as CEO of the association for 20 years, says he has given the board up to six months’ notice of his intention to retire.
NIBA President David Duffield says the search process will begin almost immediately, “once we’ve reviewed the logistical situation and the management style and competencies we’re looking for”.
“I hope we will have the opportunity to get the right candidate on board early enough to work alongside Noel for a period,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
In a statement to members, Mr Pettersen says NIBA is “widely recognised as a forward-thinking association that is respected by the decision-makers”.
“The NIBA board is well established, with some fresh faces to add additional expertise to the future direction of the association.”
