The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has appointed Aon regional director Paul D’Arcy as the new chair of its NSW Divisional Committee.

Aether Insurance & Risk’s director Adam Hines was appointed vice chair.

The appointments come after NIBA named BJS Insurance’s Dianne Phelan as President last week, taking over from Aon’s Eric Harris, who will continue as a director.

Mr D’Arcy, who directs Aon’s Operational Performance Management, replaces Carlie Griggs of Marsh. She will remain on the Committee.

“I look forward to working with Paul and Adam as we face the major upcoming challenges on remuneration, the new Code of Practice and the ongoing difficulties with the hard market,” NIBA CEO Dallas Booth said in welcoming the duo.

Mr Booth thanked Ms Griggs for her tenure, saying the Committee was very grateful for her efforts.
