The National Insurance Brokers Association and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance have announced a collaboration to draw new talent to the industry.

NIBA’s Insure Your Future initiative and ANZIIF’s Careers in Insurance teams will host a joint program at The Big Meet 2025, held next month and in April. The event, across five capital cities, is one of Australia’s biggest career exhibitions for undergraduates and graduates. 

The partnership follows meetings between NIBA CEO Richard Klipin and ANZIIF counterpart Katrina Shanks, who identified the need for collaboration to strengthen the industry’s recruitment amid skill shortage concerns. Last September, the Insurance Council of Australia announced a six-year Insurance Industry Talent Roadmap designed to tackle the issue. 

NIBA and ANZIIF’s teams will be at five Big Meet sessions: 

• Sydney on March 19, 11am-3.30pm, Hall 1, International Convention Centre 
• Melbourne on March 21, 11am-3.30pm, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre 
• Brisbane on March 24, 11am-3.30pm, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre 
• Adelaide on March 28, 11am-3.30pm, Adelaide Convention Centre 
• Perth on April 1, 11am-2pm, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre
