NIBA all set for Hobart convention

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) expects a strong turnout at next week’s annual convention in Hobart.

“We have very good numbers,” CEO Dallas Booth told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “They are consistent with last year in Sydney. We are keen for another 200 brokers, obviously.”

The September 4-5 convention will examine topics including driverless vehicles, the future of motor and travel insurance, flammable cladding and regulation.

Mr Booth is involved with a session addressing the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry, and regulation updates.

“We believe we are offering a very good opportunity to hear some excellent keynote speakers… it’s going to be a great event,” he said.

Platinum sponsor CGU will have a 10-man team at the convention led by Executive Manager Broker and Agency Solutions Phuong Ly to engage with brokers.

NIBA’s annual awards will be presented at the convention.
