Newline Group has appointed Tony Bainbridge as Medical Malpractice Underwriting Manager for Newline Australia.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Bainbridge was GM at Melbourne-based Avant Mutual Group for three years.

His previous experience is in reinsurance, where he worked for Swiss Re in various senior roles in Melbourne, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into the market; going back to the broker market in mainstream insurance,” Mr Bainbridge told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

Group Chief Underwriting Officer Phil Foley said the appointment “will add significant value to the group’s underwriting capabilities.”
