Zurich’s Associated Marine business has filled two new positions arising from its recent operational review.

Ross Lawrenson has been appointed National Product Manager, Marine, and Colin Allman has been appointed Relationship Manager, Marine.

Last month Zurich announced plans to integrate Associated Marine more closely with its primary business, which included dropping the Associated Marine brand in New Zealand and replacing Associated Marine MD Stephen Ford. Zurich General Insurance CEO and Associated Marine Chairman Shane Doyle has added the role of Associated Marine MD to his responsibilities.

“We’ve drawn on the deep capability we have in the company to fill these roles,” Mr Doyle said.

Mr Allman was previously state manager for Associated Marine in Queensland. He recently added the running of Zurich sales and distribution for Queensland to his responsibilities. He will be based in Melbourne for the new role.

Mr Lawrenson has been with Associated Marine for 23 years and his new role includes overall responsibility for the underwriting strategy, governance and framework of the marine business.
