Former Macquarie Bank Executive Director John Green will join the QBE Insurance Group board as a non-executive director on March 1.

Mr Green was an executive director at Macquarie for 13 years until August 2006. Prior to that he was a legal partner at Dawson Waldron (now Blake Dawson) and Freehills.

“Mr Green has wide experience in business, investment banking and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, capital and financing involving insurance and other industries,” QBE said in a statement.
