Specialist risk insurance recruiting website www.insuranceNEWS.com.au/jobs has had “a flying start” in its first week of operation, with more than 15,000 unique visits from around Australia and even overseas.

The site, launched last week after several months of planning and development, has been praised by industry companies, professional recruiters and jobseekers for its ease of use, according to insuranceNEWS.com.au Publisher Terry McMullan.

“We wanted to build a site that was easy to access and use, and the feedback so far has been terrific,” he said. “We’re offering free introductory ads for all users, and the permanent price of just $50 per ad with discount opportunities for repeat users has been well received.”

Mr McMullan says one recruiter advised it has already received an “impressive” number of responses for a senior position it posted on the site last week, including one from an executive in the UK.
