New head of communications starts at ICA
Former journalist Campbell Fuller has been appointed Head of Communications at the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).
Mr Fuller was a practice principal at public relations agency Porter Novelli for the past three years before starting at ICA today.
He has also worked for a number of other public relations agencies, having started his career as a journalist on The Herald in Melbourne.
The communications role at ICA had been vacant since June, when GM Communications Paul Giles was moved to a new role in government and stakeholder relations.
This followed ICA President Rob Scott’s public acceptance of ICA’s “shortcomings” following the natural disasters of last summer.
He told a conference in June that “it is time to rethink how we as an industry tell our story and how we communicate with key stakeholders, the media and the broader community”.
ICA declined to comment on the new appointment.
