The Melbourne Marine Insurance Forum (MMIF) will host a free webinar on September 21 discussing "How to succeed on tough claims: Delay, Shortage & General Average".

BARBUSS’ Global Claims Leader Francisco Bosch and Recovery Manager Tomás Appleyard will present the webinar.

They will look at how to succeed on tough claims and will cover and detail real case studies on the following topics: delay - perishables (consequential damage/direct damage); shortage (real losses vs. paper losses/trade allowance/liquid and solid cargo/weighment methods) and general average (reasonability/unseaworthiness/condition of the vessel/mitigation).

Mr Bosch is responsible for the Middle East, South Asia and Pacific regions and an expert in a wide range of cases. Mr Appleyard is responsible for leading the global recovery line of business, managing a 24/7 multicultural team around the world ready to recover diverse cases.
