Minister to speak at ICA forum

Revenue and Financial Services Minister Kelly O’Dwyer will address the Insurance Council of Australia Annual Forum on Wednesday, as the Federal Government considers outcomes from inquiries affecting the industry.

The Government is weighing recommendations from the Senate inquiry into general insurance, while the sector is also included in a Productivity Commission review and the royal commission into financial services misconduct.

CSIRO Senior Principal Scientist Stefan Hajkowicz will be the keynote speaker, while Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Executive Member Geoff Summerhayes and Australian Securities and Investments Commission Deputy Chairman Peter Kell will update the regulatory agenda.

A panel discussion will examine the royal commission and issues around insurance and consumer expectations.

The forum is at the Hilton Sydney. For more information, click here
