MGA shares business overview, directions at two-day conference
Adelaide-based MGA Insurance Group held its brokers assistants conference last week over two days in a hybrid format, with MD Paul George opening proceedings with an overview of the business and plans for the future.
Close to 40 delegates turned up for the October 18-19 event plus another 112 who participated virtually, according to the broker.
Mr George in his address touched on a few areas, such as the additional challenges in the distribution of retail products and added compliance requirements stemming from the Hayne royal commission reform measures.
MGA is focused on maintaining its “solid value proposition” for clients going forward, Mr George told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
He also spoke about the broker’s “All Systems Go” training initiatives and another major project that is being rolled out to centralise claims notification.
“We are continually finding better ways and providing better tools to deal with our insurer partners and customers alike,” Mr George said. “This is generally always at the foundation of our group directions discussions.”
