The law firm has appointed Matthew McDonald and Paul Garnon as principals. Mr McDonald brings more than 20 years of insurance law experience, specialising in public and product liability and professional negligence.

Mr Garnon joins from McCabe Lawyers, with more than 25 years of experience as an insurance litigation specialist across several key sectors, including property claims, management liability and professional indemnity.

Meridian has also appointed Peter Ford as a consultant, and Simon de Chasteigner du Mee, Talia Mason and Allana Robertson as associates. It also named the addition of two graduates and five paralegals.

The appointments follow Meridian's recent appointments to its Sydney-based team last month.
