The Melbourne Marine Insurance Forum has re-elected Gahan Nathanielsz of Richard Oliver Underwriting Managers as its President for a second year.

Daniel Coloe of Moray & Agnew Lawyers was elected VP at the annual general meeting last week, and Simon Farmer from QBE Marine Specialty Risks was made Secretary.

Adam Billing from QBE Marine Specialty Risks was elected Treasurer.

Mr Nathanielsz paid tribute to two industry stalwarts who have retired this year: Alan Maggs, national claims recovery specialist at Chubb; and Lal De Silva, technical claims manager at Zurich Marine.

“Both have… been big supporters of the [forum], understanding the necessity of teaching the younger generations,” he said.

The group’s annual Christmas lunch has been scheduled for November 20. The event’s MC will be TV personality Glenn Ridge.
