Melbourne-based Gain Insurance has been named Insurance Advisernet Australia’s Authorised Representative of the Year.

Grant Bishop, Dwayne Haydon, Jason Bakris and Milton Gonzales joined Tamer Avsar to form the company in 2009.

The winner was announced at Advisernet’s Queensland conference, attracting 300 delegates and 80 insurers.

At the conference the network announced its premiums grew by 15% to $270 million and revenue by 17% to more than $50 million for the year ending June 30.

The push to attract younger brokers is paying off, with the average age of its principals being less than 40.
