XL Group says Jonathan Mead will transfer to its Sydney office in October to become Regional Client and Distribution Leader for the Asia-Pacific business.

The position involves building and maintaining strategic client and broker relationships, reporting to regional head Craig Langham, also based in Sydney.

Mr Mead, who has been with XL for nearly a decade, is currently Senior Client and Distribution Leader in the UK.

He has previously held account management roles at Royal & Sun Alliance.
