McLarens appoints Australia GM

Loss adjuster McLarens Australia has appointed Martyn Wicht as GM, as part of its re-entry to the local market. See earlier story

Mr Wicht returns to the company after a previous stint of nearly 20 years. Before the 2009 merger of McLarens and Cerno he was part-owner of McLarens (Queensland).

He will begin the role on April 1, reporting to Regional MD Asia-Pacific Ian Lavin, who is based in Hong Kong.

Mr Wicht is tasked with building the new McLarens network in Australia, including hiring, branch locations and client liaison.

“Our initial thrust will be offices in the mainland state capitals, and they will start to become operational from early to mid-May,” Mr Lavin told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

McLarens-owned companies already operate in Australia, but not in the general adjusting space.
