Marsh marks NZ milestone by giving back
Marsh is celebrating 60 years of business in New Zealand by committing to 60 acts of community service in a year.
Staff at the broker have already donated blood, completed street collections, helped with donations for hospices in Auckland and Taranaki and run Pink Ribbon fundraising morning teas for breast cancer research in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin.
“After 60 years of doing business in New Zealand, we wanted to do something that helped to give back to the communities that have supported Marsh over the years,” Country Head for Marsh New Zealand Marcus Pearson said.
“Our 60 acts of service initiative is designed to expand on our annual program of corporate and social responsibility activities, which is a hugely important part of our company’s ethos.”
Mr Pearson led the charge in March when he travelled across New Zealand on a 1960 Los Angeles Fire Department articulated fire truck, raising and distributing funds for a children’s charity.
Other planned initiatives include volunteering at the World Press Photo Exhibition in Auckland, helping run a children’s market in Christchurch and tree-planting in Wellington.
