Marsh has appointed Chris McDermott as its new Pacific head of specialty.  

Mr McDermott has been promoted from his role as Pacific private equity mergers and acquisitions head. He has served nearly a decade with the broker, joining in November 2014 as Pacific transaction risk VP.   

Marsh says he will take on the new role “having made a significant impact” across the M&A business.  

“Our private equity mergers and acquisitions practice has flourished under his leadership and is the go-to M&A insurance adviser in the region,” it wrote on LinkedIn. “Meanwhile, his focus on cross-business collaboration and innovation continuously elevates our risk management offering for clients.”  

Mr McDermott says he is “honoured” to take on the role and “excited to work with our region’s most talented group of specialists to deliver valuable insights and tailored solutions to our clients”.
