Marsh honours ‘dear colleague’ killed in Bourke St horror

Tributes have been paid to Marsh consultant Jessica Mudie, who died when a car was driven at pedestrians in Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall, killing five and injuring more than 30.

Ms Mudie, from Sydney, had been visiting her brother when she was killed on January 20.

“We were shocked and saddened to learn of the death of our dear colleague Jess Mudie,” CEO Scott Leney said.

“Although with us for just under a year, she had already won the admiration and friendship of those she worked with and had a bright future ahead of her.

“Marsh colleagues across Australia join Jess’ loved ones and friends in their grief and mourning. We will be providing all the support we can to her family and colleagues at this sad time.”

Ms Mudie, 22, worked at Allianz before taking up a role with Marsh.

Meanwhile, IAG says it will donate $100,000 to a Victorian Government fund for families affected by the Bourke Street incident.

More than $1 million has been raised to help the victims.
