Arthur J Gallagher has bolstered its Australian construction practice team with two experienced brokers joining from Marsh.

It has named Roger Irvine as National Practice Leader, Construction. Angela Vella, who was principal, construction practice at Marsh, joined Gallagher last month as Practice Leader, Construction.

Mr Irvine joined Gallagher last month. He was formerly managing principal at Marsh.

Head of Corporate Broking Mark Oatway says the company is exploring opportunities to innovate and better meet client demand.

“Both Roger and Angela will play an integral role in taking the construction practice forward in this respect,” he said.

Arthur J Gallagher says Mr Irvine and Ms Vella have a wealth of experience across a broad portfolio of clients and geographies, and bring specialist skills in construction and engineering risks.

“While a relatively new name to the Australian construction industry, Gallagher has a diverse list of construction industry clients,” Mr Irvine said.

“In the coming weeks our first priority will be to engage with clients to understand their current risk concerns and future ambitions, and to work with those clients to ensure we deliver service and solutions that create commercial value.”
