Marsh & McLennan is sponsoring lunch events in Sydney and Melbourne this month to mark the United Nations’ International Day of the Girl Child.

Feminist Eva Cox and executives from aid agency Plan International will address the Sydney lunch on October 10, while journalist Wendy Tuohy and Plan leaders will speak at the Melbourne event the next day.

Plan’s “Because I am a Girl” campaign aims to help girls avoid poverty, discrimination and violence.
