Gary McNally has been appointed Managing Principal, Political Risk & Structured Credit, at Marsh.

Sydney-based Mr McNally comes from a decade at Gallagher, where he was most recently Executive Director. He was formerly Macquarie Group Head of Credit for eight years and an Associate Director at MBR Reinsurance Brokers for nine years.

Marsh says Mr McNally’s 30 years of senior level experience in insurance, reinsurance, investment banking and specialist political risk and structured credit broking and advisory work make him one of the most “experienced and respected brokers in these lines in the region”.

“This is an important appointment for Marsh given the significant increase in demand for our advisory and risk placement services in this area as companies seek to respond to growth and expansion opportunities at a time of unprecedented macro and geopolitical uncertainty,” Marsh said.

The regional role covers Australia and NZ, with a focus on developing structured credit, political risk and wider bespoke credit and country risk solutions for clients.

Mr McNally reports to Kyle Williams, Head of Political Risk and Structured Credit, Pacific. He will work closely with the broader Marsh Credit Specialties team.
