Marsh Australia has appointed former Zurich executive Susan Elias as National Manager for Cyber.

The Brisbane-based position has been created in the group’s financial and professional risks (FINPRO) division.

“The creation of the new role underscores the development and growing importance of cyber liability in the Australian market,” Marsh said.

Ms Elias previously worked as Asia-Pacific financial lines manager for Zurich Financial Services Australia, where she developed and launched a cyber liability product for the region. 

She has also held senior positions with Marsh’s FINPRO team in Australia and New Zealand.
