Lumley recognises leaders in risk management
A mobile nursing service is one of four Australian companies to win a risk management prize in this year’s Lumley Insurance Benchmark Awards.
“Safety is the No.1 focus of Royal District Nursing Service, the very deserving recipient of this year’s commercial motor benchmark award,” Lumley CEO John Nagle said at last week’s ceremony in Sydney.
“Every fleet driver of the mobile nursing service, which employs more than 1600 people in Australia and New Zealand, has completed a defensive driving course, and safety features rank highly in the fleet selection process.”
Adelaide-based WB & SM Doser Freight Forwarding won the heavy motor award. It has installed cabin cameras and implemented a structured approach to driver recruitment and management.
The Rathbone Wine Group won the corporate solutions property site engagement prize after integrating risk management, including hazard inspection protocols.
Abattoir/exporter HW Greenham & Sons won the corporate solutions property risk management award for initiatives that range from installing sprinklers to replacing electrical switchboards.
The awards recognise the companies’ risk management culture and the role of their brokers, Aon and OAMPS.
