'Louder voice for change': Dive In calls for SharetoGrow posts
The insurance industry’s Dive In diversity and inclusion festival is calling on members of the insurance industry to participate in a social media campaign by publicly posting a message to their younger selves.
The festival, now in its eighth year, this year centres on the theme Building Braver Cultures. More than 150 events will take place across at least 40 countries over three days this week.
Organisers say changing workplace cultures begins with sharing personal stories, and taking part will empower others to share their experience to create change.
“Hearing other people’s lived experiences will help attendees realise that when we share together, we grow together,” they said. “The more people that join the conversation, the bigger the impact and louder the voice for change.”
A number of industry posts have already been shared.
“Be true to yourself. It’s possible to bring the whole of you to your job and your work will be better for it,” WTW Head of Asia Clare Muhiudeen said.
“Take every opportunity you are offered and don’t let fear stop you,” the Insurance Institute posted.
“Trust your gut and never compromise your integrity to fit in,” Chubb VP Culture & Talent Gabriella Driver said.
“Don’t get stuck in your comfort zone and always be yourself,” Chubb Head of Marketing and Communications for UK, Ireland and South Africa Rob Holmes said.
