Adjuster Peter Brown has left Technical Assessing after 10 years with the company to set up his own business.

Based in Brisbane, Specialist Adjusters is a boutique loss adjusting practice providing expert services to local and overseas insurers, the London Market, self-insureds and lawyers.

Mr Brown was most recently Queensland state manager and practice leader for liability at Technical Assessing.

“At this stage of my career, I have decided to concentrate on providing a dedicated and expert service to my clients in a cost-effective way,” Mr Brown told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“The major loss adjusting firms in Australia provide an excellent service to the industry with the handling of volume claims, particularly after natural disasters, but I firmly believe there is still a need to utilise experienced and expert specialists in the more ‘niche’ areas of the industry and for more complex claims.”

While the business is capable of handling claims across all classes of business in Brisbane and elsewhere, he says it will concentrate on general liability and professional indemnity.
